What TikTok asks for
From TikTok's own Creator Rewards Program help page:
- At least 10,000 followers
- At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days
- Original videos at least one minute long, posted after you join; each starts earning at 1,000 qualified For You feed views
- 18 or older (19 in South Korea)
- A Personal account in good standing, with your real name and date of birth; Business, political and government accounts can't join
- Based in a country where the program is available
How the check works
We read the account's public profile and its newest videos. You see three numbers next to TikTok's minimums: followers, views on the videos posted in the last 30 days, and how many of those videos run a minute or more.
TikTok counts every view in the last 30 days, including new views on older videos. Only TikTok can see that total, so ours counts the videos posted in that time and your figure in TikTok Studio can be higher.
Age, account type, standing and country aren't public. We list them for you to check in TikTok instead of guessing.
The monthly progress email
After you confirm your address, we email the same numbers for the account about once a month, next to the last ones, with what is still missing. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and mail apps that support one-click unsubscribe show their own button.
Questions
Do short videos earn anything?
Not from Creator Rewards. Only videos of at least one minute earn. In our study of 102,272 recent videos, 23% ran that long: most TikTok videos are too short to earn Creator Rewards.
How much would I earn?
TikTok doesn't publish its rates; creators report $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. The TikTok money calculator runs that on any account.
Where do I apply?
In the TikTok app: Profile, then the menu, then TikTok Studio, then Creator Rewards Program. TikTok says it replies in about 3 days.
